Southern Something: Lemonade in a CrockPot?!

We all know that if Southerners aren’t drinking sweet tea, we are drinking lemonade.  It is a Summertime staple of the South along with cookouts and bonfires.  The problem is that we never have enough or it isn’t sweet enough.  Well, I have discovered the answer to all of our woes!  It’s called CrockPot Lemonade!

You’ll Need:
—a Crockpot
—2 cups of sugar
—4 cups of water
—2 cups of lemonade
—12 cups of COLD water (I store this in a LARGE pitcher.)

Instructions

  1. Combine the first ingredients (sugar and 4 cups of water) in a CrockPot.
  2. Heat on High for around 1-2 hours; stir to dissolve sugar completely.
  3. Add lemon juice to CrockPot and turn off to let cool.  (I let it sit for about 45 minutes.)
  4. Add in remaining cold water and chill.
  5. Serve Cold!

Now, ladies and gents, this makes A LOT of lemonade.  You can save some for a rainy day, serve it all, OR get even more creative and make lemonade popsicles!  Either way, you now have the PERFECT lemonade recipe.
